The inspiration for this shoot was centered around romantic and vintage elements in a more natural environment. The color palette for this shoot features muted tones of whites, creams, blushes, and blues, with only a small pop of deep cabernet red. With a nod to Downton Abbey, we pulled inspiration from the early 1900’s to give the perfect amount of drama, style, and elegance to the casual, north woods setting. The goal was to evoke more of a “deconstructed Downton Abbey” feel so touches of whimsy and softness were added in throughout the design. The entire scene was meant to feel a bit moody, so a crisp November day at the Interstate Park in St Croix Falls, Wisconsin, was an ideal setting with its bare trees and overcast sky.
